In my last couple of articles, I have covered the fact that there are not many available scholarships for high school freshmen. After applying for the scholarships you find available as a high school freshmen, don’t be let down if the winnings you have amount to little or nothing at all.
During this time, you should not be so focused on finding available scholarships for high school freshmen, but more on researching which college you want to attend and what scholarships you should apply for in the future (as well as what qualifications you will need).
During your freshman year, it is probably too early to really start researching colleges yet, but it is a good time to begin figuring out which scholarships to apply to later on, and, if you want, see if there are any scholarships for high school freshmen that you should apply to.
In figuring out what scholarships you should apply to later on during high school, you should first research scholarships available based on your current interests and what you think your future interests may be. Once you have assembled a list of scholarships that you could potentially apply for in the future, you then need to figure out what the requirements are for these scholarships. During your next three years of high school, you goal will be to fulfill these qualifications, whether it means maintaining a certain GPA, being involved in certain extracurricular activities, or just keeping an interest in a certain subject. By doing so, once you are a junior or senior in high school you will have plenty of scholarships to apply for that you will have a good chance of winning!
