Gates Millenium Scholarship

If you have not heard of it, the Gates Millenium Scholarship is a program funded by one billion dollars from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation that provides low-income, Hispanic American, African-American, American Indian/Alaskan Native, and Asian Pacific Islander American students with a considerable amount of money to help pay for college.

If you win this scholarship, any un-met financial need will be covered by the program.

To be eligible for the Gates Scholarship, you must:
-Be African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Hispanic American, or Asian Pacific Islander American.
-Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of U.S.
-Have at least 3.3 GPA on 4.0 scale in high school or earned a GED
-Enrolling for the first time in a U.S. college or university as a full time student.
-Demonstrate leadership through extracurricular activities.
-Meet criteria to be eligible for Federal Pell Grant
-Complete and submit Nominee personal information form, nominator form, and recommender form by the posted deadline
