Roundtable on U.S. Study Opportunities

Yesterday, September 28, counselors from Ottawa-area high school attended a presentation on U.S. study opportunities at the U.S. Embassy. The event, organized by EducationUSA, offered resources and support to counselors who are working with Canadian students interested in U.S. study. The discussion was also a chance for the new EducationUSA Officer in Canada to learn how EducationUSA can support the needs of counselors who are advising students about studying in the United States.

The event was a great success. Over a dozen counselors attended for the presentation about U.S. higher education and the discussion that followed. More such roundtables will be offered in the future to reach more schools and more students. Stay tuned for more information. In the meantime, check out the picture below from the event:

The discussion continues: after the presentation, participants had the chance to discuss issue more in depth during a roundtable discussion with other counselors and EducationUSA staff.
