When writing your essay for the scholarship, you should include what your accomplishments are so far as a freshman in high school, and what your future goals are for the rest of high school and in college. Make sure your essay matches what the application for this scholarship is looking for in high school freshmen, otherwise you will have a small chance of winning.
If the scholarship is available only to high school freshmen, then you will have a greater chance of winning; you will only be competing against other freshmen for the scholarship, so just make sure that you still write a strong essay, stay involved, and keep up the good grades.
