In my last few posts I have covered how to FIND the easiest scholarships to get, but I know what you’re thinking. Why do all the research on the best scholarships available to college students when I could just TELL you what they are? Well, today I’m feeling nice, so I’ll throw you a couple bones. In the next few articles I will give you a list of some of the easiest scholarships to get out there. As I have said before, they will not just GIVE you the scholarship or anything, but you will have a greater chance at winning these scholarships than you will for many others. Now let’s take a look at some of these scholarship programs that most students in at least decent standing have a shot at winning.
Horatio Alger Assocation Scholarship; this is one of the easiest scholarships to get for a reason. Do Something Brick Awards; Applicants to this scholarship program have a chance to win $25,000. Yes, you heard me correctly. The only requirement is that you are involved in activities that have a positive impact on your community.
Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year: This scholarship is available to students in high school that have done excellent in athletics, academics, leadership, and community service. Many people win this scholarship, so definitely check out this scholarship if you meet the qualifications above!
Tylenol Scholarship; another one of the easiest scholarships to get; in 2006, they gave over $250,000 to college students in the United States
Van Valkenburg Memorial Scholarship: If you have this last name or something similar to it, then you are eligible for this $1,000 scholarship!
Discover Card Tribute Award; Discover gives out 10 $25,000 scholarships and up to 300 $2,500 scholarships every year. To be eligible, you need a minimum 2.75 GPA, demonstration of leadership within your community, and to have “faced a significant roadblock or challenge”.
Frederick and Mary F. Beckley Scholarship: Left handed? Then it’s your lucky day! This scholarship is available for students that are left-handed and go to Juniata College in Huntington, PA. They offer up to $1,000 to two left-handed students every year!
AngelSoft Angels in Action; This program gives scholarships to teenagers younger than 18 who have demonstrated community service. Not only do winners receive a cash prize, but also a year’s supply of AngelSoft Toilet paper! Bet you didn’t see that one coming.
