Finding the Easiest Scholarships to Get

In my last article I covered what are the easiest scholarships to get, but the problem might still remain on how to find these precious scholarships. The easiest scholarships to get will be found by taking the following steps.

You first step in finding and winning easy local scholarships will be to do a search online. Avoid massive scholarship directories, as these often don’t include obscure local scholarships, nor the easiest scholarships to get. In order to find less-competitive local scholarships, first do research on local non-profit and community service organizations and see which one’s offer scholarships for local high school and college students. You should definitely apply to these scholarships, as they will not be very competitive.

Your next step will be to contact local businesses directly (by phone or in person) and ask if they offer scholarships to college students. Many local scholarships through businesses or non-profit groups are often so obscure that they are not even publicized online, so you will want to call these people directly to see if they have any scholarships available.

Another great resource for finding these scholarships is your local library and/or civic center. They should have some sort of scholarship directory available that lists all available local scholarships for college. From experience, I have found that 99% of the easiest scholarships to get are available in your local community, so that is the place to start looking for scholarships that you will have a good shot at winning.
